Lights, camera, everything: catch a glimpse of our production team

Updated: May 16

Still shots. Long takes. Quiet scenes. But behind all that calm, there are people running around making sure everything works just right. That’s us. The production team. The ones who take an idea and turn it into reality - on time, on set, and (almost always) with coffee in hand. From writing the script and finding the right equipment to handling approvals and making sure everyone shows up (yes, even for 8 AM shoots). We double-check everything, including that big red record button. We’ve been there at every step - behind the camera, beside the performances, and sometimes even in front of it. We don’t just support the process. We are the process.

Here are some of the learnings each of us had throughout this incredible journey that movie production is:

Cristina Lozneanu:

I was amazed by how important having a team of talented, passionate, dedicated and creative people is when making a movie. I loved working on “Breathe” with everyone, the team made all the endless hours spent on all the shots, takes, and rehearsals worth it, with all the behind the scenes memories 🫶

Amir Najjarr:

I discovered how important creative input is during brainstorming sessions and I learned that flexibility can lead to better outcomes. I also was motivated to step out of my comfort zone and take on new responsibilities, and I learned that being proactive makes a big difference in team dynamics.

Teodora Medvedeu:

I found out how challenging the production of a movie can actually get and that it’s not as easy as it seems, but I also learned that there is a solution to everything if everyone stays united and cooperates properly.

Cosmina-Maria Cucos:

This project showed me how being flexible and open to change is key. Plans change, surprises happen, and somehow, we always found a way forward. I learned to deal with unexpected situations, stay adaptable and find quick solutions. But more than that, I realised how much I genuinely enjoyed being part of a team where we were all creative and passionate, just a group of people figuring things out together and trying to create something that truly mattered to us.

Dan Nistor:

Working on this project taught me how much goes on behind the scenes to make even a short film possible. I realized the importance of planning, attention to detail, and staying calm under pressure, especially when unexpected issues come up. I learned how essential good communication is on set, and how every small task contributes to the bigger picture. Most of all, I appreciated being part of a team where everyone brought their energy, creativity, and commitment to the table. That made the entire process not just productive, but truly enjoyable and a life lasting memory.

Alex Balici:

I learned that filmmaking is 90% chaos and 10% caffeine-fueled improvisation (pretending you’re not panicking). Working on Breathe taught me that storytelling isn’t just about scripts or shots—it’s about syncing your vision with a bunch of coffee-fueled humans who are just as passionate as you are. Beyond the technical mess, I discovered that the film industry is ... wild. I’ve come out of this experience with a greater respect for every person in front and behind a camera.

Rafael Rosu:

I learned how to communicate better because I had to clearly express my ideas, collaborate with others, and adapt my message to different situations throughout the filmmaking process.
